My husband has been planning on getting a pickup for a long time now. We own a car that he uses to work each day, and a van that we use when we go out on our family outings. Because we have three children, a van seems to be the most practical vehicle to use. It is really a family vehicle. The idea of a pickup is appealing to me as well. I really don’t have much know-how on what features to look for in any type of vehicle but I like big ones that appear very sturdy and reliable. Looking at them, I feel secure knowing that they can take a lot of pressure no matter what roads I would be travelling on. My husband however takes special features into consideration and he is inclined towards the Mitsubishi L200 that he swears will be his next vehicle. He has been talking about it with his friends and I can tell he is really decided on acquiring one.

For close to ten years I have worked as a stockbroker for a well known brokerage company.
I didn’t always have such a high-powered job though. I’ve done all sorts in the past – from selling roof racks for vans to programming.
As a stock broker, I really enjoy my job and the office environment is great. I was a little worried during the global downturn in 2008 as I thought I was going to be made redundant as a lot of clients no longer wanted to trade. However things started to pick up. My workplace is a great place to work. People are always willing to lend a hand and are easy to talk to. There is much to do. I was recently assigned a personal assistant which has actually enabled me to leave work on time. I feel bad leaving unfinished work for her that’s her job right. I am a little upset that I wasn’t able to choose my own personal assistance as my manager interviewed the applicants. If I had it my way I would have preferred someone who actually had some formal education qualification as she doesn’t know a thing about the stock market. I don’t know how she got the job. Anyway at least my co workers have a good understanding of the market.

I am a big music buff. I like to listen to all forms of music. As a teenager I was really into rock music. But now my tastes have changed. These days l listen to a lot of soft rock, jazz, blues and other stuff. But I just love live music. Recently I heard of a blues music festival that was taking place in the neighboring city. I knew that I had to make it there because I am such a big fan of live music. So I gather all my friends. Unfortunately we did not have a vehicle that was big enough to accommodate all of us. We knew that we needed a solution. We looked up van leasing companies. Luckily we found just the right van. We rented it for the weekend and all piled into it. The drive to the concert was a lot of fun. We all had a great time there.

The typical pay back term for guaranteed semi truck financing with bad credit will range between one to four years. Most truckers I know personally will stretch this allowable period to the maximum, even if they have the money to pay back the entire sum after 1 year in business. This is mainly due to the difficult of getting legit loans for bad credit, so truck drivers prefer to hold their capital in their own pockets instead of giving it back to the banks.
More importantly, you will probably need to pay a higher rate of interest for a new loan compared to what we are paying on our truck financing. This is because the latter is a form of secured financing and the lenders can repossess our work vehicles if we do not pay up on time.
If you have bad credit, it is tough to borrow an amount equal to 100% of the truck’s market value. That is why you need to save up a bit for some down payment when you are thinking of buying a truck. The percentage rates you are quoted will also be higher due to the risks involved in lending money to someone with low credit ratings.
In my opinion, trying to get financing and start your business with poor credit means you are at a disadvantage compared to your competitors. Your cost of operating a business will be much higher compared to the average, hence odds are always stacked against you. This is no time to be naive and think a miracle is going to happen and you can get rich overnight.
To make it a success with a trucking company, you need to work very hard. Not having good credit probably means you need to put in an extra 30% effort. That is why many people give up after 6 months, losing their investments and getting into debts for the money borrowed to buy a truck.

When I first started working at my old job, one of the first tasks I was assigned to do was take care of the truck scales. I didn’t know the first thing about them and didn’t have a clue how they worked. So my first step was to contact our local scale company service manager and get the 101 on how truck scales work and when they need general maintenance.
The summer is a busy time for our scales, so they told me that spring is the best time to get the following maintenance done, because all the melting snow and mud can be rough. They had me take a walk around the outside of the truck scale and examine the deck, scale pit, foundation and approaches for any major structural or surface problems. No problems there. Then they told me to get my boots, gloves, hornet spray and lights, and get ready to head into the pit to look things over. That’s when I drew the line and said I’ll let the experts instead. Since they have the ability to check the oxygen level in the pit.
